HYDERABAD, India, ESPOO, Finland - Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) is the next Safran Aircraft Engine Services facility to implement industry-leading QOCO MROTools that enables holistic end-to-end process control and operational efficiency resulting in improved turnaround times and improved employee experience.

Strengthening collaboration

The solution has been in use at Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels since 2024 with exceptional outcomes. This new agreement extends Safran’s and QOCO’s collaboration to cover the newest and one of the most advanced LEAP Engine repair facilities in the world, recently opened by Safran Aircraft Engines in India, where MROTools will be configured to SAESI’s own operational environment. Safran’s new 45,000 square meter facility plans to accommodate more than 1,000 employees in the coming years, ramp up to a capacity of 300 LEAP shop visits a year and include a next-generation test bench.

The strengthening collaboration between QOCO and Safran Group builds on the proven success of QOCO’s digital solutions in Safran operations. This partnership is characterized by a shared commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, with QOCO developing and delivering digital solutions to streamline and enhance efficiency in Safran operations. Both organizations are looking forward to setting a new standard for maintenance excellence in the aviation industry.

The value of QOCO MROTools

QOCO MROTools is the best end-to-end solution on the market as it (unlike any other option available) integrates customers’ IT and all tooling and GSE access and touchpoints to achieve full process control (and audit trail) across the entire operation. Operational efficiency improvements are driven by modern digital workflows and tooling management capabilities (including, but not limited to real-time visibility of all tools, assisted calibration management, on the spot defect reporting by frontline staff and built-in controls such as automatic blocking of unserviceable tools).

As direct benefits, MROTools drastically reduces missing tools (up to 80%, depending on starting point), the severity and duration of tooling incidents (up to 80%) through quick isolation and mitigation, and improves labor efficiency (up to 10%). In addition to direct benefits, MROTools provides powerful data and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement of tool lifecycle management, procurement practices and inventory management. MROTools also allows customers to forecast tooling requirements for the future engine repairs and provides immediate access to mission-critical information needed to perform maintenance tasks.

QOCO MROTools is trusted by the likes of Delta Group across many bases, flag carriers like TAP Portugal and Finnair, and many others. The solution is suited to any operational environment requiring tooling, GSE and Consumables control.

Matti Nevala, CEO of QOCO Systems, commented:

“We are extremely pleased about the shared commitment to implement MROTools in SAESI operations, and we welcome the opportunity to continue supporting Safran Aircraft Engines in their digital frontrunner journey. We are also delighted to demonstrate the adaptability of MROTools in delivering measurable improvements in maintenance efficiency across their facilities worldwide."
