Russell joins us with having spent nearly 20 years within the aviation industry. Most of his time was with Rolls-Royce, with a specialism in service development and transformation within Civil Aerospace market, leading on large-scale digital transformation and digital services. Currently, he is a consultant within the infrastructure industry and leads the development of new digital offerings in the public sector.

As Russell says, “aviation does a magical thing – it makes the world smaller and connects people, enabling society and supporting each of the major innovations within the last century”, for this reason plus his love of travel he remains passionately engaged within the aviation sector.

"No other industry does so much so efficiently. Airlines operations are typically enabled and supported by a small number of technical and support staff who work incredibly hard to ensure millions of people fly safely, on time, and in comfort." - says Russell.

Russell was a customer of QOCO before during his time at Rolls-Royce “I was always hugely impressed by the team's positivity, enthusiasm and energy and QOCO shared the same values as we did: to solve the problem efficiently and always put the customer first. QOCO Systems is an organization I am proud to be associated with”.

Russell's role as an Advisory Board member is to offer support and guidance to QOCO Leadership Team and Board of Directors. He won't be involved with the company on a daily basis. However, he has a chance to look around and see what's happening in the industry, raise thoughts and ideas for the Leadership Team at QOCO, and support future ideas and plans by challenging our direction and thought processes. Russell himself has been through these experiences and can share insights and help QOCO remain agile and dynamic in its core operational values towards its only goal, of customer satisfaction.

“I see QOCO's part in the future of the aviation industry to help ensure every flight is connected by QOCO and enabled by its unique and powerful application, EngineData.io”

“We are delighted to have secured the support of Russell and avail of his massive knowledge and depth of the customer’s needs within DATA management. We are excited to be working with Russell to further develop our operational experience and ensure that QOCO has the ability to further support our global customer base. Russell’s contribution has already been felt at our Leadership Team and board level regarding operational excellence and support. We are genuinely grateful to Russell for supporting QOCO and helping us transition to the next stage of our evolution as a company, and product offering. With record growth for the past five years, we must ensure we do not move away from our core values and ability to always deliver for our customer community.” - says Markku Nyman, CEO & Partner.
